MISSION STATEMENT

THE SOUTH SAN ANTONIO ISD COMPREHENSIVE SCHOOL COUNSELING PROGRAM ADVOCATES FOR ALL STUDENTS BY PROVIDING SERVICES THAT PROMOTE EQUITABLE ACCESS TO LEARNING AND SUPPORT FOR EACH STUDENT’S INDIVIDUAL SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL, PERSONAL, ACADEMIC, AND CAREER DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TRUSTING RELATIONSHIPS AND PARTNERSHIPS WITH FAMILIES, SCHOOL STAFF, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

 Happy 2023-2024 School Year! We are all excited to have the students back at school. We will be working on Social and Emotional Learning   (SEL) to help students academically, socially and emotionally.  The goal for Social emotional learning (SEL) is for students to acquire and   effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary for becoming a healthy individual. This includes problem-solving skills, communication, understanding, as well as building healthy relationships.
